    This is an old but attractive hotel in an excellent location and with adequate off-street parking. However, the absence of lifts (elevators) makes it quite a physical challenge getting to the upper floors. There are chair lifts on the lower levels which help somewhat. The carpeting in our bedroom was in need of a good cleaning. The hotel staff are all very friendly and obliging and the restaurant is very attractive and offers good menus, and the bar is well-stocked. The grounds are very attractive. I would stay there again but would ask for a refurbished room.

Location. Grosvenor Hotel is located in Torquay, England, within 400 metres of the beaches of Devon. Kents Cavern and Cockington Country Park are within two miles. Torquay train station is 500 metres from the hotel.

Hotel Features. The hotel is set amid gardens that extend to a bowling green and tennis courts. The three-storey hotel is painted in peach with white trim, high peaks and angular edges. There is an outdoor pool with sun terrace and a heated indoor pool. The hotel also offers a leisure centre (surcharge) with spa bath, sauna, sun shower and a gymnasium.

Grosvenor Hotel serves a complimentary English breakfast daily. Two restaurants open for dinner, and the coffee shop serves traditional Devon cream tea and light refreshments throughout the day. The hotel opens a pool bar during the summer.

The hotel's conference centre offers four meeting rooms, and wireless Internet access is available in public areas.
