Description
See more detailsLocation. The Domina Prestige is a luxury resort complex in the centre of Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, on the Sinai peninsula. The property has a beachside setting overlooking the Gulf of Suez and the Ras Mohamed National Marine Park. Sharm el Sheikh Airport is six kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Opened in March 2003, the Domina Prestige forms part of the Coral Bay Resort, stretching along a 1.6-kilometre private beach of sand and coral reef. The Prestige consists of two low-rise wings in Moorish style, set in palm-shaded grounds. Guests can enjoy an extensive range of amenities including complimentary access to the Elizir Health Club, and several 'floating' swimming pools which have been constructed in the Red Sea.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is served each morning with half and full-board rates also available. Domina Prestige has various onsite restaurants: Plaisirs serves à la carte Mediterranean fare; the beach-terrace Nautilus offers Italian seafood specialities; Petrus Grill is a steakhouse with Greek-style wooden furnishings.
The Domina Prestige's extensive leisure facilities focus mainly on the waterfront and the popularity of this coast for scuba diving and snorkelling. There are floodlit tennis courts, an onsite marina and a range of spa services at the health club. PADI diving tuition, horse riding and desert quad vehicles are also available, plus supervised activities for children. After dark, Smaila's nightclub and a casino await.
Guestrooms. The 64 guestrooms feature distinctive canopy beds with Moorish-style fabrics and carved wooden furnishings. All have verandas with pool or sea views. Guests receive a complimentary fruit basket and mineral water on arrival.
Expert Tip. The Greek Orthodox monastery of St Catherine high in the mountains of the Sinai peninsula is reputedly the spot where Moses saw the Burning Bush. It is a popular excursion from Sharm el Sheikh, giving visitors a taste of the Sinai's astonishing desert scenery.
