    1 block off super busy Khao Sarn road in Old City Bangkok- we stayed in the Viengtai for a total of 4 nights. On either the 3rd or 4th floors, we had really minimal street noise, which was great considering all that was going on below. Air con in the first room was not stellar, but the other room had a better one. Hard mattress- typical of almost all the 4 hotels we stayed in throughout Thailand. Hotel was helpful when we wanted to extend our original stay and then book another night on the back end of our trip. Breakfast daily was pretty great for a hotel breakfast (included in our rate)- lots of choices and quality food! Stopped by the pool once- nothing fancy, but is a nice to have in the heat. The hotel also arranged an early morning taxi to the airport on our final morning - a bit pricier than what it would cost regularly, but knowing it'd be there (and it was on time!) so early in the morning was reassuring.

    LOVED this hotel: clean; neat; English-speaking staff; bountiful breakfast; big rooms; immaculate bathroom; pretty lobby. The surrounding area is interesting but a bit sleezy, but fun to see. Within walking distance to many major sites. Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to all.
