    We stayed two nights while visiting Cinque Terre. The hotel is clean and quaint, furnished with older pieces. It is 4 km from the train station, but does have a free shuttle during certain business hours. The staff were terrific - and recommended a boat ride to Cinque Terra which was lovely (the shuttle took us there). The breakfast was better than others we had in Italy.

    The staff at the Ghironi Hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They answered all our questions and offered information on things we didn't even know to ask about (that rarely happens). The hotel was beautiful and offered a wonderful free breakfast. Parking in their private lot was free and plentiful. They are located a little further from the buses and trains, but offered free shuttle service to and from some of the major tourist areas. A major bonus for those traveling with a limited amount of luggage: there's a 24x7 laundromat located just down the street. Staying near Cinque Terre is expensive, but this hotel is a wonderful choice.

Location. The Hotel Ghironi is a modern, four- storey property located on the outskirts of La Spezia, 1.5 kilometres from the historic centre, railway station and promenade. Pisa Airport is 70 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of one hour.

Hotel Features. The Hotel Ghironi offers a peaceful garden for relaxation. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can advise on attractions and make restaurant reservations. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to the railway station and ferry port during the summer. Other amenities include express check- in/out, a safe-deposit box, room service, high speed internet, and complimentary onsite parking.
