    The Hotel was very nice as far as the room and lobby. Fresh flowers in the room every day. The Restaurant was adequate,which from a 4 star hotel I expect better. The staff was sorta helpful but distracted, not 4 star service. This Hotel seems to cater to an older 60+ clientele from Germany and Austria. This is not a good place to see Salzburg from. We got over charged buy the taxis 2 of them charged 35 and 36 euros respectively. 15 kilometers, one taxi charged 21 euros. This was a culture clash as in USA 10 miles is not a big deal.

Location.Hotel Residnez Bavaria is a family- friendly hotel situated in the town of Bad Reichenhall at the foot of the Berchtesgaden Alps, 15 kilometres from Salzburg. Salzburg International Airport (SZG) is 15 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.

Hotel Features.Amenities include a wellness centre with gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and solarium, and a beauty salon with hot-stone massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. At the health centre saltwater mineral baths, mud baths and essential oil therapies are on offer, and barbeques are held in summer and candlelit fondue nights in winter. Other activities include movie and game nights, and there is a fireplace in the library, complimentary Internet in the lobby, a complimentary pick-up service from the train station and welcome drinks. Secure underground parking is also available.

The hotel has a bright and airy restaurant serving Bavarian specialties and international dishes. There is also a bar decorated in the style of a typical log cabin, with wood panelling, rustic furnishings and an open fireplace.

Aerobics, water aerobics and yoga classes are held at the hotel. Bicycle rentals are available from reception, and children have their own playground. The hotel also arranges excursions and organised activities.

Guestrooms. Hotel Residenz Bavaria offers 171 guestrooms, located on five floors, which have simple decor with modern dark-wood furnishings and fitted carpets. All include balconies or loggias, satellite television, direct-dial phones, safes and refrigerators.

Expert Tip. Bad Reichenhall is famous for being a spa town, and a trip to the area should include a visit to the Kurgarten. The spa park is unique due to its open-air saltwater inhalation facility. From spring to autumn, the Kurgarten is an oasis of beauty and tranquillity conducive to rest and recuperation.
