See more detailsLocation. Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club is a country mansion-house hotel, set in 186 acres of landscaped Sussex countryside and surrounded by Ashdown Forest, five miles from Tunbridge Wells and 15 from Gatwick Airport.
Hotel Features. The country club offers a range of facilities including an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis courts, indoor golf nets, a putting green, croquet lawn and jogging trails. Guests can revitalise in the sauna, steam rooms and jetted tub or enjoy pampering massages and beauty treatments. The concierge can advise on nearby attractions. Suites are available for conferences, seminars or private functions, and the hotel can accommodate up to 160 people for banquets.
Guests of the Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club can enjoy both à la carte and table d'hote menus for lunch and dinner at the The Anderida Restaurant. A resident pianist plays in the evening and the dress code is smart (gentlemen are required to wear a jacket or tie) Reservations should be made in advance of arrival.
Guests enjoy complimentary use of the Par 3 18-hole golf course complete with driving range.
Guestrooms. The 106 guestrooms are individually decorated in a traditional country-house style with period furnishings. All include cable television, clock radios, complimentary newspapers, desks with direct-dial phones and voicemail, high-speed Internet connections (surcharge), and safes. Bathrooms are complete with robes, designer toiletries, hair dryers and combination showers and tubs.
Expert Tip. The Bluebell Railway is the site of famous vintage engines and coaches. Visitors can take a trip through five miles of glorious Wealden Sussex scenery. Pooh Bridge, named after the popular children's bear, is one of the most famous landmarks of the forest and popular among visitors for the game of 'Poohsticks'.
