Everything was great but the pool should be heated.

The Fiesta Inn in Morelia is in a decent area. Getting to El Centro is quite easy. It is only a block away from a supermarket if you forget a few things. And it is walking distance to a fantastic play park. (If you have a child who is used to walking.) Our room was clean and had ample space for two adults and one child. The grounds are lovely and have a small climbing frame and slide. It is enough to occupy a small child while the adults have a cup of coffee. The pool - whilst unheated - is warm enough in the heat of the day. There is a perfect shallow section where young children are safe. However, the service was awful. Bad enough that it soured our stay. After the second day, the maid no longer left coffee in our room. When we accidentally broke a glass, it was not replaced. The restaurant has decent (if over priced) food, if you can get a waiter to acknowledge your existence. One morning it took me 45 minutes to get a cup of coffee. And when I came down late another evening, it took 40 minutes to get a beer. I became thankful for the nearby supermarket. I bought my own nightcaps. My husband and I could have one whenever we wanted rather than stranding him in the room with the sleeping child and making me frustrated and furious. I eventually learned that if I wanted something, I had to corner a waiter or a manager. (Even doing this seemed to generate a minimum of a 20 minute wait time.) There were two decent waiters, Aldo and Gabriel who managed to salvage my opinion of the service at this hotel. Unfortunately, they weren't always available. It was affordable, clean and well located. Just don't use any of the hotel's amenities and you'll have a lovely stay. (Remember, everyone expects a tip. And if they think they'll get less of a tip from you than another person - you will cease to exist in their personal universe. As a 20% tipper - this was quite maddening.)
