    It doesn't get better than the Maison La Minervetta. Book one of the delux rooms like number 8. The staff is superb. The location is the very best in town. The view is to die for. The design is beyond anything I could have ever expected. The breakfast was a real treat. Spotless rooms, modern well maintained hotel with all aspects of your stay considered. One of the most romantic places I have ever stayed. Would go back tomorrow for a month if I could. The stairs and tiny elevators down to the fishing harbor are charming and fun. Honeymooners or lovers take note and get a room at this hotel.

    The hotel is very nice and is the most artistic hotel I've stayed at - it's beautifully designed. Our room, a junior suite, was very comfortable, had adequate room, and great views of Mt Vesuvius, the city cliffs and the fishing village below. Service and the staff were excellent except that used towels re removed only once a day. The breakfast offered is very good but I'm sorry that they don't have a regular restaurant . It's a 10 minute walk into the city where there are plenty of restaurants of all types but sometimes you don't feel like going anywhere.

Location. The Maison La Minervetta sits on a cliff overlooking the old fisherman's village Marina Grande, Sorrento Bay and the volcano Vesuvius; the private beach is 200 metres away, and the famous ruins of Pompei can be found 31 kilometres away. Naples Airport is 54 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 75 minutes.

Hotel Features. The unique lounge area opens onto a large panoramic terrace, charmingly decorated with colourful flowers and plants, where guests can have breakfast or cocktails while enjoying the spectacular view of the Sorrento Bay and the volcano Vesuvius. A private staircase connects the Maison with the old fisherman's village, Marina Grande, with its beaches and restaurants. Wireless Internet is available (surcharge) for those wishing to catch up on emails or surf the web.

The Maison's staff are happy to take care of all guest requests including organising excursions and guided tours, car, scooter and boat rental, reservations for restaurants and sporting activities.

Guestrooms. The hotel offers 12 air-conditioned guestrooms located on four floors, all of which are individually decorated in a bright contemporary style. Amenities include satellite television, minibars, desks, direct-dial telephones, safes, and wireless Internet (surcharge). Bathrooms are complete with hair dryers and complimentary designer toiletries.

Expert Tip. Amalfi, situated 32 kilometres from the hotel, is famous for its production of the Limoncello liqueur.
