Location. The Rose River Inn Bed & Breakfast is a three-block walk to the historic sites, museums, galleries, shops and restaurants located on the riverwalk of Astoria, Ore. Miles of sandy beaches, golfing, fishing, boating and horseback riding are also available nearby. From the Astoria Column, just four blocks from the Rose River Inn Bed & Breakfast, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Oregon and Washington Coastlines, mouth of the Columbia River, and coastal mountain range. Fort Clatsop and Lewis and Clark's Winter Encampment are only a five-mile drive from this bed and breakfast.

Hotel Features. The Rose River Inn Bed & Breakfast is a 1912 Craftsman-style home furnished with country antiques and art. There is a fireplace in the common sitting room, gardens in the backyard, and a comfortable sitting porch. A complimentary full gourmet breakfast is served in the dining room, which overlooks the Columbia River. Guests are invited to read a book or watch a film from the inn's own collections, or recline on the porch and watch ships go by on the river.

Guestrooms. The quietly romantic guestrooms of this inn all have private bathrooms featuring antique claw foot tubs. All guestrooms have cable television and a DVD player, on which guests can play one of the over 300 DVDs from the inn's library. Complimentary coffee/tea is served upon request.

Expert Tip. The Astoria/Megler Bridge at the mouth of the Columbia River, more than four miles long, is the longest of its type in North America.
