This hotel is outstanding! I spent 2months in hotels in Oahu and this was bar FAR the best place I stayed. It is wonderful, the staff is awesome, the accomodations are breathtaking, the grounds are gorgeous. The beach is only people staying at the resort, the furnished lanais are amazing, the turndown service in the evening is wonderful. The food at the restaurant is awesome, the service is great! The dolphins are adorable and the dolphin trainers are very nice. The hotel itself is beautiful and everything is amazing! I have suggested this place to many friends who have gone and had a wonderful experience and I plan to go back again when I am in Hawaii. It is worth the price tag and it is a bargain at ANY cost!

Yes, Kahala Resort is a five star hotel and the rooms and service are excellent. However, they really need to change their name from Kahala Resort to Kahala Day Care Center. Seriously, without embelleshment, every single adult was with infants, toddlers, or children and the shrieking screams of kids and crying babies at the pool and on the beach, left us cringing and on the edge of our nerves! There was NO peace or quiet to be found and we literally had to leave the pool and beach areas when it became intolerable. Management will do nothing about this problem from fear of offending the parents, however they do not consider that fact that others around them are being offended. Also, do not drive a car to Kahala Day Care Center, as the parking fee is $25.00 per day. If you enjoy screaming kids and expensive parking, then I highly recommend Kahala.
