Nice enough. Could have used a bit of maintenance. I would call the hotel a little tired. I usually stay at the NY Hotel when in Ketchikan, and will do so again next time I am there.

Location. The Gilmore Hotel is located directly across from the cruise ship docks in downtown Ketchikan, Ala. Built in 1927, this boutique property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and overlooks the Tongass Narrows.

Hotel Features. Amenities at the Gilmore Hotel include complimentary continental breakfasts and complimentary van transportation. The hotel also showcases an on-site restaurant, Annabelle's Famous Keg and Chowder House, where dark-wood interiors and mirrored walls create an inviting atmosphere for traditional home-style cooking.

Guestrooms. The Gilmore Hotel's standard guestrooms feature contemporary mahogany furniture and flat-screen televisions in a space with vintage window treatments and classic interior detail. Completely renovated in 2002, this boutique hotel features luxury rooms with feather beds, down comforters and 440-thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.

Expert Tip. A stroll down historic Creek Street gives visitors a look into Ketchikan's risqué past, when Dolly's House, the city's infamous brothel, was in operation during the days when Creek Street was a red light district.
