Scandic Aarhus

Location. Built in 1989, the Scandic Aarhus is a six-storey hotel, located two kilometres from the Old Town and four kilometres from the city centre and train station. Aarhus Tirstrup Airport is 50 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 45 minutes.

Hotel Features. Fax and copying services are available in the business centre, and guests can stay connected via wireless Internet access. The hotel houses four meeting rooms, three of which can be combined to accommodate up to 350 people, and 12 smaller breakout rooms. Complimentary parking space is provided for 200 cars.

In the evenings, guests can enjoy a selection of snacks, wine and beers in the Scandic Aarhus hotel's casual bar.

Health-conscious guests can work out on cardio- vascular equipment in the fitness room and then top up their tans in the solarium, relax in the sauna or enjoy a game of billiards. Sigge, the Scandic children's mascot, offers games and activities for younger guests in his playroom and hosts a pancake party every morning during summer.

Guestrooms. The 151 guestrooms feature contemporary decor with wooden furnishings and light, understated colour schemes, and are equipped with complimentary wireless Internet connections, satellite television with pay movies and minibars.

Expert Tip. The Old Town, two kilometres from the hotel, is not an old part of Aarhus itself, but a collection of 17th- to 19th-century Danish buildings gathered from all around the country. The Music Centre, which hosts ballets, operas and concerts by the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, is 3.5 kilometres from the hotel.
