    I was attracted to this hotel by what seemed like a reasonable price and a good location within Lugano. However, I regretted choosing this hotel soon after walking into it. The room was very poorly lit, was extremely hot to the point that we couldn't sleep (there is no AC whatsoever), had a table that was only big enough to fit the very small TV that was on it, and had no soap at all in the bathroom. It was simply not pleasant to be there, which is why we spent as little time in the room as we could. Also, the hotel's Wi-Fi did not work and the hotel's receptionist tried to make it our problem instead of looking for a solution on their end, even though we had multiple mobile devices and it didn't work on any of them. On the brighter side, the hotel's breakfast was good. To summarize, while this hotel is undoubtedly one of the cheaper options in Lugano, it comes at the expense of a decent hotel experience and for that reason I would avoid this hotel and consider others.

The modern Acquarello Swiss Quality Hotel is adjacent to the town's funicular railway and is just 500 metres from the shore of lake Lugano. It features 59 guestrooms over three floors with simple white furnishings, all including televisions, telephones, an Internet connection and clock radios.

The hotel restaurant serves breakfast. The Cathedral of San Lorenzo is 100 metres away and the Museum of Modern Art is one kilometre from the hotel. Milan International Airport is 80 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 80 minutes.
