Hilton Edinburgh Caledonian

Location. The historic Hilton Edinburgh Caledonian hotel is located on Princes Street, the major shopping street in the centre of Edinburgh, Scotland. Princes Street Gardens and Edinburgh Castle are within 450 metres of the hotel. The Royal Museum of Scotland is a mile away and Holyrood, the Scottish Parliament, is two miles away. Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is seven miles from the hotel.

Hotel Features. The grand, sandstone-fronted Hilton Edinburgh Caledonian was built by the Caledonian Railway Company in 1903, during the Edwardian era. There are 13 meeting rooms for ten to 300 people.

The hotel has five restaurants and bars. The Pompadour serves Scottish and international dishes, such as carpaccio of Highland venison, and has views over Princes Street and the Castle from its semicircular windows. Chisolm's Restaurant and Bar retains features of the former Caledonian Railway station. Champagne and strawberries are served here during 'sparkling hour' every evening. Henry J Bean's is an American-themed restaurant and cocktail bar, and The Caley Bar offers more than 100 whiskies. Guests can enjoy afternoon tea in the Castle Suite Lounge.
