    Hotel is decent, service is OK, and the location is fine. If you are fit, you can easily reach the Verona city center by foot in about 15-20 minutes. Although the bathroom is big enough, the shower is too small. Large people would not be able to fit in and close the shower door. The room in which I stayed (it has a single queen size bed), the bed divides the room into two parts. Since there is barely a foot (30 cm) of space between the foot of the bed and the wall, it is hard to get from one side of the room to the other. One has to squeeze through carefully or roll over the bed.

    It was hot and there was no airconditioning. we left the window wide open but it was noisy. Otherwise, the hotel is OK.

Located on a tree-lined street in the centre of Verona, the Porta Palio is a modern hotel situated 1.5 kilometres from the famous opera house.
