    I'd read the on-line reviews before booking at the Laimer Hof, and was immediately worried that the glowing reviews were simply due to a well-run Internet campaign. Not so!! The Hotel is not only an excellent bargain in expensive Munich, and in a superb location, it is also true that everyone at the Hotel does everything they can to make your stay a true pleasure. The owners have been mentioned in many other reviews, and the laudatory comments are all appropriate; I want to mention specifically Jan, who is the night clerk, fully fluent in English, French, and German, and probably in other languages I don't even know about. He, like the owners, went out of his way at every step to make sure I and everyone else at the Hotel got the best advice and information, provided suggestions, etc. The French restaurant up the street ("La Brasserie") is excellent, as is the BierGarten down the street, both a 5-minute walk and extremely enjoyable. Try it, you'll like it.

Hotel Laimer Hof am Schloss Nymphenburg is a typical Bavarian hotel set in the centre of peaceful, leafy Nymphemburg, 500 metres from Koniglicher Hirschgarten, Europe's biggest beer garden. The 23 guestrooms are traditionally decorated with brass bedsteads and dark- wood furniture; all include bathrobes, cable television, complimentary newspapers, desks, direct-dial phones, hair dryers, wireless Internet, makeup mirrors and minibars.

Guests can relax in the lobby among the collection of fine Nymphenburg porcelain or enjoy beer or schnapps in the lounge bar.
