Travelodge Inn & Suites Freeport

I arrived to the hotel and upon checking in was told I would have to be charged again for the room. I informed them I reserved the hotel through hotels.com and they told me they had not idea what that was. I had to request a manager to have the issue resolved. Another issue is the hotel "lounge" is actually a dance club. I could hear the bass from the outside of the hotel, luckily my room was far enough away I did not hear the music. The room was decent for the price I paid. Room service did come by every morning while I was out of the room and cleaned it. Most of the towels were stained and were very thing and scratchy at best, I need two full-size towels to get dry after a shower. The only plus to the place was the location, I was attending training and the hotel is near downtown Freeport. If you are stopping for a short time or moving through and need a quick place to stay, the Travellodge will do, but only barely. I would avoid staying here again if possible.

When I reserved the rooms, we orginally requested adjoining rooms. When we got there, the rooms were down the hall from one another. They did switch us to different rooms which were suppose to be adjoining. Well they weren't. The pool was freezing cold which was advertised as an indoore heated pool. The bottom of the pool was dirty. The breaking point was waking up the next morning to find ants crawling on my daughter's foot. Small carpenter ants that bite. When we looked closer at the carpet between the beds there were hundreds of ants crawling around. After bringing this to the staff's attention, we were told we had too many people in the rooms and refused any adjustment for our dissatisfaction. We had four people in one room and two in the other.
