    Pros: Outstanding hotel staff, minutes away from tram to Athens & bus ride to the airport, close to Glyfada restaurants and beach Cons: Far away from Acropolis (need to take the tram to Syntagma square and then Metro), right by noisy Possidonos expressway We would recommend spending 3 nights in the Plaka/ Kolonaki area to experience the Acropolis, museums and downtown Athens and then 2 nights at Palymyra to experience the quieter suburban life.

    When looking up this hotel, I was very excited about it. When we arrived, the lobby was very nice and remodeled and the pool was great. However, it was not connected to a beach - you have do walk down the block and across the street to get to the beach. Also, the actually rooms were less than clean. The bathrooms were not cleaned before we arrived or during our stay. The carpet had some strange stains and the room had a strange smell when we walked in. The plus side to this, though, is that the outside location and amenities make you want to be out of your room most of the time anyway.

The Palymra Beach is a modern, beachfront hotel set within the cosmopolitan resort of Glyfada, 15 kilometres from the historical centre of Athens.
