    The Woodmark is right on the water and a lake-view room can't be beat. My room was large and comfortable with a sliding door overlooking the water. Beaches cafe downstairs is a nice dining option with reasonably priced food and warm atmosphere. While the hotel is detached from downtown Kirkland, there are a few things in the same area: a salon, spa, Starbucks, Bluwater Bistro and other businesses I didn't get to explore. I love the quiet of staying in Kirkland as opposed to on the water in Seattle. Lots to do without all of the traffic! I highly recommend the Woodmark.

Location. Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa overlooks a scenic lakefront and mountain vistas in Kirkland, Wash. The city of Bellevue is three miles away, Redmond is five miles away and downtown Seattle is seven miles from the hotel. Wine connoisseurs are six miles from local vineyards.

Hotel Features. The European-inspired lobby welcomes guests as they descend the curving staircase with its panoramic views of Lake Washington and the Olympic Mountains. Deep-toned wood furnishings and rich fabrics provide a warm ambience in the Library Bar, where guests can enjoy cocktails and appetizers by the fire. The hotel's vinocentric restaurant, bin vivant, features a menu of wine and food pairings in a cozy, cellar-style setting with a lakefront patio that is open seasonally. The restaurant serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. A complimentary self- service buffet is available at Raid the Pantry, where night owls can satisfy after-hours cravings. The Spa at the Woodmark, a full-service spa, offers a range of rejuvenating treatments and services on site.

Guestrooms. The four-story Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa provides 79 guestrooms with floor-to- ceiling windows and beds with feathertop mattresses, down and foam pillows, and down comforters. Other room amenities include high-speed Internet access, multi-line telephones, twice-daily housekeeping and turndown service. Minibars are stocked with products made in the Northwest.
