    Rooms are large and quiet in spite of being in the middle of town.Front desk personnel efficient but not that friendly, but then, we did not have much contact with any of them Found prices at the bar very high.

    I imagine that the Bristol Palace Hotel was charming in its day, but it is now in need of dire improvements. The rooms are very large and spacious, but the decor is extremely dated and worn. Cleanliness was also an issue. Don't be fooled by the photos, this hotel has seen better days. (They do offer a nice breakfast though and the location is convenient.)

Location. Positioned in the center of Genoa, Italy, on Via XX Settembre is Bristol Palace Hotel, a turn-of-the-century palace that once held parties and events for nobilities and historical figures. The Carlo Felice Opera House and Palazzo Ducale are both within 200 meters of the hotel, and San Lorenzo Cathedral and Palazzo Rosso are 500 meters away.

Hotel Features. Floor-to-ceiling windows, frescoes, parquet floors and glowing wall sconces set an appealing atmosphere in the hotel's dining room, where rich buffet-style breakfasts are served each morning. The intimate Bar Bistrot serves coffees, aperitifs and cocktails amidst wood paneling, brass accents and red leather sofas. Twelve conference rooms can accommodate up to 200 people. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available. Assistance is available for tours, sports, musical events, reservations. A welcome gift is presented to incoming guests at check-in.
