I made the reservation online for two rooms each with 2 queen beds. When we got to the room, each one had a full size bed with a queen pull out couch. Both were extremely uncomfortable. We did not sleep well. However, the staff were extremely helpful, nice and very friendly. The atmosphere of the area was great. I don't know that I will go back though because of the beds.

Everything was great about the hotel except the beds - we didn't sleep well at all. We will go to Snowbird again. Beautiful surroundings, clean room, etc.

Location. The Lodge at Snowbird enjoys a sublime setting less than 20 miles from downtown Salt Lake City, and just steps from the aerial tram at Snowbird, Utah. Consistently ranked as one of North America's top ski resorts, Snowbird features a bustling, modern village set in Little Cottonwood Canyon, part of the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains. Utah is known for its magnificent powder, often touted as "the greatest snow on Earth". The exhilarating landscape speaks for itself, offering everything from plummeting cliff runs to well-planned beginner runs. Summer or winter, Snowbird offers plenty of recreational possibilities, including a tubing hill, an ice-skating rink, a climbing wall, zip lines, tennis courts and a fishing pond. Award winning restaurants and a bustling nightlife add to Snowbird's draw, and the spa is almost worth a visit alone.

Hotel Features. Offering ski-in/ski-out convenience, the resort welcomes guests into an attractive lobby, complete with plenty of natural wood accents, a piano, a stone fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating. Renovated in 2004, the resort features an outdoor pool and jetted tub, a steam room, fitness facilities and dry saunas. The Cliff Spa is considered to be one of the finest in the country and provides a plethora of treatments and classes. The Lodge Bistro offers mountain-view dining with a French flavor. Safe-deposit boxes are located at the 24-hour front desk, and the staff can assist with tour planning, dry cleaning, child care and concierge services. Guest laundry facilities are on site and Internet access is available in public areas.

Guestrooms. Each of the guestrooms feature a balcony and come with a refrigerator and a coffeemaker. Other amenities include cable television, video-game consoles and high-speed Internet access.

Expert Tip. Snowbird and Alta, its neighboring resort, offer joint day-passes, and both feature some of the best chute runs in the country. The offer is available to skiers only, as Alta is not boarder-friendly.
