Super 8 Motel - Juneau

I booked our room on line through Hotels.com and when we arrived we were given a "smoking room" (when we open the door we had our share of nicotine for the next century) and told that is what we had purchased, although I was not aware of having done that since we are both allergic to smoke. After being told they had no "non-smoking" rooms, the manager finally gave us a non-smoking room which was clean and well kept. The next morning we observed the same thing, someone else had booked non-smoking being assigned smoking and then being told it was because they had booked over the internet. When we checked in we were asked to sign a statement with the rate charge on it since we had already paid and then in the morning we were presented with another with a different amount on it--don't know if that had anything to do with the smoking issue, but it raised our eyebrows.

I found the room to be clean when I arrived but after the cleaning staff failed to clean my room for two days in a row I began to wonder. The majority of the indivduals working at the front desk did not appear to take any pride or care in their appearance. After my room was ignored for the second day I contacted the front desk and requested to speak to the manager. I left contact numbers but was never contacted. After requesting my room be cleaned by the time I returned from my daily business, I returned to find my bed hardly made and the garbage was not even removed. Upon contacting the manager I felt my complaints fell on deaf ears. Also, there was a lot of noise from engines being reved or cars pealing out through out the four nights I was there. I will never stay at this hotel again.
