    This hotel is you pay for what you get. The beds were very hard and need to buy new pillows. Other than that, hotel staff were friendly. My room was very clean.

    The location of this hotel was great, very close to the Civic Center, and downtown Des Moines attractions. The room was nice with one exception, our drain in the shower was broken. My husband was able to make a quick fix to drain it but the staff at the main desk couldn't have cared less. We did not even receive a "sorry for your inconvenience", let alone a "hope you enjoyed your stay". Basically don't let the door hit you on your way out. Too many nice hotels for the same price within blocks of this one, to stay again and be treated rudely.
