    The location was beautiful, but when after a long drive, the first thing we learned was that the restaurant was not open as advertised,and our whole plan of the trip had to change. I was traveling with a 10 year old and didnt want to leave the hotel to eat. .The restaurant has been closed for over two years yet they still show it on their web sight

Styled like a New England country inn, this two-story hotel overlooks the Pacific Ocean and the seaside village of Mendocino.

All 44 spacious guestrooms include garden or ocean views, brass beds, and complimentary dial-up Internet access.

The inn is two blocks from the boutiques and galleries of Mendocino and eight blocks from wildflowers and water sports. The two-story inn has 44 guestrooms with access via interior and exterior corridors (no elevator). Rooms include bathrobes, separate sitting areas, coffeemakers, free local calls, complimentary dial-up Internet access, and garden or ocean views. Room decor varies, but all rooms have brass beds and lace curtains. Some rooms have fireplaces, and many have balconies or patios. Hill House Inn is on a bluff overlooking the seaside village of Mendocino and the Pacific Ocean. The two-story hotel offers landscaped grounds and the atmosphere of a New England country inn. Fans of the television show Murder, She Wrote may recognize the inn as the setting for the show.
