Description
See more detailsThe King Jason Hotel is a modern seven-floor hotel renovated in 2002 and situated in the city's commercial district, less than a kilometre from Omonia Square. Guestrooms are decorated in a bright modern style, with light oak furniture; all include air-conditioning, hair dryers, minibars, safe boxes and double-glazed windows.
Meeting and conference rooms are on hand for those on business. Free parking is also available for visitors arriving by car. Multilingual staff man the 24-hour front desk and can help guests arrange local travel, tours and exchange currency. The hotel is centrally located for Athens' sights. The Acropolis is 1.5 kilometres away, while the old town, Plaka, is 900 metres. Closer still are the Archaeological Museum and atmospheric Keramikon. Athens Airport is 40 kilometres from the hotel. To reach the hotel by public transport, customers should take the E95 Syntagma-Athens Airport Express bus and disembark at the bus terminal at Syntagma Square. From Syntagma Square, using the same ticket, guests then take the metro to Metaxourgeio Station. The hotel is 150 metres from Metaxourgeio Metro Station. Please note that no metro/underground service will be available from Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport from 14th February 2009 for approximately six months due to the construction of a new line. Guests arriving at the airport can reach central Athens by express buses which can be found outside the arrivals terminal. A taxi terminal can also be found outside arrivals. Please note that the tariff doubles between midnight and 6 a.m. and it is advised to ask your driver for a receipt upon reaching your destination.
