Description
See more detailsLocation. A modern inn overlooking the Bellingham Bay, the Chrysalis Inn and Spa is located 50 miles south of Vancouver in Bellingham, Washington. Known as the southern terminus for Alaska-bound ferries, Bellingham is a vibrant city with historic roots. Parks, museums, shopping centers and nightlife are within a few miles of the inn.
Hotel Features. Sophisticated architecture and styling make this inn stand out, creating an intimate haven for a truly peaceful experience. The full day spa offers a stone-tiled eucalyptus steam room, European facials, hot-stone massage and a plethora of other treatments. Fino, the on-site wine bar and restaurant serves classic European food and wines in a fireside lounge, the dining room or on the waterfront patio. A full, complimentary breakfast including bacon and eggs is served each morning. Meeting rooms are available and offer Internet access.
Guestrooms. Each of the guestrooms has views of the water and stone-tiled bathrooms. Standard amenities include dial-up Internet access, cable television and newspapers delivered daily. Some rooms feature fireplaces.
Expert Tip. Mt. Baker, 50 miles from the inn, offers some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the country. Not much by way of a resort mountain, Mt. Baker makes for a great day trip and holds the record for the most verifiable snowfall of any lift-serviced ski area in the world, at 1,140 inches (95 feet) over one year and 304 inches (25 feet) in one month.
