    This great bed and breakfast is in the heart of the Killington entertainment area. The innkeeper was very friendly and helpful in giving sightseeing suggestions. Breakfast was out each morning containing a nice array of fruits, pastries, waffles, and so on. The room was very comfortable, but without heat or air conditioning--not a problem though given the outside September temperatures (there is a radiator for winter heating). The walls were quite thin, and it's no fault of the inn that we had a screaming child in both the room next to us AND the room across the hall...but we still slept well. Overall, we would definitely stay there again given the value, location, service, and room comfort.

    OK B&B. Room was quite cold and there was no provision to heat. Gas fireplace was pretty but shut off. Also, no air conditioner if the room was hot. Otherwise, nice people.

Location. Snowed Inn Bed & Breakfast is tucked away in a quiet wooded setting in the Killington mountains in Killington, Vt., only one-and-a-half miles from the base of Killington Resort. Besides offering world-class skiing and snowboarding, the resort's K-1 Gondola takes mountain bikers and hikers to the top to enjoy the excellent mountain trails down the mountain. The atmosphere of the inn is intimate, yet excellent restaurants, popular nightspots and shops in Killington are only steps from the inn. The area features many fine golf courses, including Killington Golf Course, two miles away, and Green Mountain National Golf Course, three miles from the inn.

Features. This family owned and operated bed and breakfast welcomes guests with warmth and casual grace. The innkeepers have created a mood of Vermont country charm and friendly informality, where good taste blends with modern amenities, including wireless Internet access. An expansive deck with a gazebo overlooks the wooded Miller Brook. The hot tub on the deck is surrounded by sparkling snowdrifts in the winter and radiant flowers in the summer. Guests are also welcome to relax in front of the stone fireplace in the lounge. A game room offers ping-pong, darts, foosball and a wide variety of board games. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning. Other amenities include an exercise room, ski tuning room, daily newspaper, meeting facility for small groups and complimentary parking.

Guestrooms. Snowed Inn has a wide variety of room types to satisfy almost any accommodation request. All rooms feature a private bath, cable television with VCR and direct-dial telephone. Some deluxe rooms and suites also offer a jetted tub, fireplace, balcony, kitchen and dining area, and a separate seating area.

Expert Tip. The Killington and Pico Adventure Centers offer non-stop summer fun, with Alpine slides, mountain biking, hiking, climbing wall, gondola and chairlift rides, miniature golf, water slides and The Bungee Thing.
