    I was disappointed when i arrived to find the "kid's whale pool" under construction which is the main reason I booked this resort. We had to go to a different hotel to let the kids swim. But other than that it was a very pleasant stay. AND all the pressuring of the Time Share reps is worth it to spare 90 minutes. You get a wonder breakfast buffet, you get to tour nice rooms AND you get to go on a free excursion. The 4 hour snorkling/lunch on the 44' sailboat was AWESOME.

    Room was nice with a kitchen. View was of front entrance not oceanview. The location of the room over the lobby led to hearing noisy people coming in at 4:00 a.m. It was a disappointment that the one pool was closed but other was opened. Convenient to transportation but wish it was a little closer to center of town. On the far end of Medano Beach and water was still rough. Red flag was out everyday.

Location. The beachfront Villa Del Palmar Resort & Spa is located less than two kilometers from downtown Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Plaza Amelia Wilkes shops and restaurants are positioned less than two kilometers away.

Hotel Features. A nine-story atrium lobby features waterfalls, seashell motifs and a saltwater aquarium. The open-air beachfront Bella California affords stunning views of El Arco and specializes in California and Italian fusion fare. Las Tortugas features daily themed buffets and nightly live entertainment such as Mexican folklore presentations. A shopping plaza houses an ice-cream parlor, a DVD/video store, a clothing store, and a coffee shop equipped with 10 computers with Internet connections. The focal point of the resort is the three-pool complex that contains an adults-only freeform pool, an activity pool and a relaxation pool constructed with an infinity-edge spa tub. Four lighted tennis courts accommodate night matches. Non-motorized water sports are located on the beach, and the resort offers a nine-hole miniature golf course, scooter and ATV rentals, and horseback riding. A 10,000-square-foot European-style spa offers treatments such as the Sea of Cortez Discovery Massage and aromatherapy baths. A fitness center contains cardiovascular and strength-training equipment and offers aerobics and yoga classes. Kids in Paradise hosts supervised care for children ages 4 through 12.

Guestrooms. This property offers 450 air-conditioned suites with private garden, pool or ocean views. Furniture, bedding and fixtures were replaced in a 2007 renovation. Wicker furniture and cool-blue and purple color schemes accent Mexican tile floors. Full kitchens feature marble breakfast bars. Bathrooms include deep marble tubs and painted porcelain accessories. Wireless Internet access is available for a fee.

Expert Tip. The resort's plaza contains a full-sized grocery store where foodstuffs may be purchased and then prepared in the guestroom kitchens. Furnished balconies provide the perfect setting for enjoying dinner while savoring the softening rays of the setting sun.
