    This hotel has not done a good enough job promoting their newly renovated rooms. The suite my wife and I stayed in was fantastic. The staff were all very friendly and the location was perfect for anyone interested in shopping and entertainment at the Plaza across the street.

Location. The Raphael Hotel is a European-style boutique hotel located within the historic Country Club Plaza in the center of Kansas City, Mo. The birthplace of jazz, Kansas City offers a variety of attractions within eight miles of the hotel, including the downtown area, the Kansas City Zoo and the American Jazz Museum. The hotel is six blocks from the University of Missouri and within five miles of the convention center. Kansas City International Airport is 24 miles away.

Hotel Features. Once a 1927 apartment building, the Raphael Hotel's ornate lobby features reproductions of works by Raphael himself as well as local artwork, all accented by high ceilings and antiques. Here, complimentary newspapers and coffee are available daily. Business services are provided by hotel staff, limited computer access is available by request and complimentary wireless Internet is accessible in common areas.

On-site dining at the hotel restaurant features world-class continental fare served in a romantic atmosphere. The adjacent lounge showcases leather-backed seating and a small television viewing area. Weekend evenings are highlighted by live piano entertainment.

Guestrooms. The Raphael Hotel's 126 guestrooms exude elegance with European-style décor.
