    This is one of the best values in the Scottsdale area. For what you get, it is unbeatable. We got a full bedroom with a queen size bed, living room with a pull out bed, kitchen, full bath, laundry room, etc. There were so many ammenities - can't be beat. Highly recommended if you plan to work/play in Scottsdale.

Location. The Sheraton Desert Oasis Vacation Villas, located in Scottsdale, Ariz., is one mile from the Scottsdale Tournament Players Club, host of the PGA Tour's Phoenix Open. Kierland Commons, which offers Main Street-style shopping, dining and entertainment, is less than three miles away.

Features. This Southwestern resort is set amid the backdrop of the Sonoran Desert and towering saguaros. The lobby features a lodgepole pine ceiling, a fountain and overstuffed leather sofas. On-site dining is provided at the casual poolside Oasis Grille, featuring an array of appetizers, salads, and hot and cold sandwiches. The resort offers a weekly grill-out party and a wine-tasting evening. Nightly events around the pool include a cowboy barbecue and other special events. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in the lobby. The resort features a 4,500-square-foot heated pool with cascading waterfalls, a spa grotto accommodating up to 25 people and a spray pool. Daily scheduled activities include water aerobics, water volleyball and children's crafts. The Cactus Den includes a video game console. The property also offers a game room and convenience store.

Guestrooms. The Sheraton Desert Oasis Vacation Villas offers 300 villas in two- and three-story buildings. The villas feature separate dining areas, breakfast bars with seating for two and kitchenettes with refrigerators, microwave ovens and coffeemakers. Washers and dryers are provided. Living areas feature fireplaces and entertainment centers with cable television, DVD players and CD players. Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds offer triple sheeting, fleece blankets, duvets and down pillows. Furnished patios and balconies feature two entrances. Select rooms offer screened terraces. Guestrooms feature jetted tubs. High-speed Internet access is complimentary.

Expert Tip. Explore the rocky terrain in the Sonora Desert on foot, off-road or by horseback with the help of the hotel's concierge staff. Guided tours by Jeep or horseback can be arranged, as can bicycle and canoe rentals.
