    My husband and I absolutely loved Hotel Normafa. In the hills of Buda, we needed to take a bus each day to get to the main subway station. However, it was only a 15-minute ride, and the stop was directly outside the hotel (plus a bus stopped every ten minutes!) We never had any problems whatsoever getting around. Also, the hotel and surrounding area were just magnificent. The hotel staff were able to answer every question we had, and they couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms and breakfast were wonderful (great selection, and you could also get "cooked-to-order" food. Their restaurant was also great for dinner. Loved it!

    I loved it. the staff were great, the rooms nice, the included breakfast excellent. There was a sauna and fitness equipment. I should say that the bed and pillows could use updating, but I would go back in a heart beat. The surroundings are beautiful, by a national park int he buda hills, and with views of the city proper. I wouldnt want to be there without a car thoughQ!

Location. The Alpine-style Normafa Hotel in Budapest, Hungary, is located on top of Svab Hill at the edge of the Buda Nature Reserve. The hotel is situated five kilometers from the centre of historic Budapest, home to an array of restaurants, shops, and museums. Janos Hill, which features views over Budapest, can be reached one kilometer away by walking through a forest to a chairlift. Budapest Ferihegy Airport sits 26 kilometers from the hotel.

Hotel Features. The hotel offers conference rooms. An onsite fitness room, running track, and heated seasonal outdoor pool are also available. Other recreational amenities include a Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, steam room, and solarium.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms at Normafa Hotel are decorated in cream colours with light oak-wood furnishings, and feature views over the gardens and nature reserve. All include direct-dial telephones, cable television, coffee/tea-making facilities, and minibars.

Expert Tip. Numerous parks and nature reserves are in the Buda Hills. Guests can ride the Children's Railroad through the hills or take the Janos Hill chairlift to its highest point.
