    This is really 2 hotels in one- a very nice traditional small hotel and an ultra-modern one. We were upgraded(?) to a "glitter suite" on the modern side- which was done all in black and silver- mostly black. Don't stay there if you are depressed. Still, the food was good and it was a comfortable one night stay near Catania Airport- although still a 35 Euro cab ride away. Staff was very helpful. Warning- not easy to find this place when driving.

The Villa del Bosco is a striking palatial hotel set in an exclusive residential area, five kilometres from the centre of historic Catania. Balconied guestrooms are decorated and furnished in traditional but individual styles; all provide ensuite bathrooms with designer toiletries and bathrobes, and come equipped with wireless Internet, cable TV and DVD players.

The hotel also has a selection of meeting and conference rooms for hire offering a range of audio-visual equipment. Outside the hotel, the Villa Bellini with its gardens and views of the city and Mount Etna is three kilometres from the hotel. The famous Etna itself is 22 kilometres away. Fontanarossa Airport is a driving time of 30 minutes and a distance of 18 kilometres.
