    This is the real deal, a spacious friendly,Mexican Los Cabos resort. Great pool and restaurant. Great views.(not for swimming), near all beaches. Great place to take a family to experience the authentic warm of the Mexican culture.

    When I was looking for places for my fiance and I to go on vacation in Baja, the Fiesta Americana was probably the last one I looked at. The name sounded cheesy, so I kind of avoided it. I can say without a doubt, however, that it far exceeded my expectations on almost every front. I have vacationed at various world-class resorts in the Caribbean, West Africa and Mexico, and this ranks among the top. A far better experience than you would get from an all-inclusive. The staff was friendly, the food and spa excellent, the sky blue everyday and the resort private and pristine. Not to say everything was perfect, but the stuff that wasn't didn't really matter. I would very much recommend paying more for the Grand Club. Between the continental breakfast and the discount it gives you on everything throughout the resort, it really works out in your favor. The only disappointment was the actual town of Cabo san Lucas. Very commercialized, although with some very good restaurants.

Location. Etched into a craggy mountainside, Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos Golf & Spa is located on the grounds of the 1,800-acre Cabo del Sol golf development between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. Downtown Cabo San Lucas is located less than eleven kilometers from the hotel.

Hotel Features. Rosato Ristorante offers sea-view terrace seating and features culinary temptations such as grilled sea bass with tapenade. Viña del Mar Café & Restaurant serves buffet and à la carte breakfasts and dinners that include seafood, pasta, chicken and steak selections. Additional eateries include the poolside Bikini Bar. A business center contains computers equipped with high-speed Internet access. Three heated freeform pools and a swim-up bar offer year-round recreation, with a fourth pool reserved for guests of Grand Club Rooms. The main pool features an infinity edge and a toddlers' area. A round fire pit that overlooks the Sea of Cortés provides an intimate setting for stargazing, while a nearby telescope affords magnified views of the sky's canopy. The resort's health spa offers international massage therapies and beauty treatments, and contains saunas, steam rooms and spa tubs. The spa also contains a fitness center equipped with cardiovascular and strength-training machines. The children's club provides complimentary supervised activities for children, ages 5-12. Family activities include Spanish and cooking/cocktail lessons.

Guestrooms. This Mexican resort offers 249 guestrooms and villas that extend onto furnished balconies or ground-floor terraces with views of the Sea of Cortez. Ceiling fans augment air conditioning. Bathrobes and slippers provide leisure-time comfort. Bathrooms contain wood-and-marble vanities, marble-lined stall showers, separate tubs and blue- glass accessories. Décor highlights include marble floors, blonde-wood furniture, wrought-iron lamps and cushioned rattan reading chairs.

Expert Tip. Evening candlelight and live guitar performance create a romantic mood after dark at the lobby bar while a cigar maker also uses the bar as a base for selling his aromatic wares.
