    My wife and I have stayed at The Monterey Bay Inn several times with great satisfaction. The hotel is located perfectly between Cannery Row and the Boardwalk. It's a quick walk to both locations so no need to get in the car. We have stayed in the full ocean view, the harbor view, and the park view. All room options offer something a little different, but all have spectacular views! As for the interior of the rooms,,, very comfortable, clean, modern, and fantastic. Dual sinks in bathroom with granite and all the luxuries you wish you had at home. The weekend price is a little high, but to be expected on weekends. The weekday price are fantastic and affordable not to mention the free in-room breakfast delivered at your convenience. As for the hotel amenities, gym, restaurant, spa, or other, your not going to find them here due to a limited amount of space, which is better spent on the 400+ sq ft. rooms. But, really who needs them??? Your here to enjoy the scenery and to take advantage of local amenities. Well, that it for now, but know one thing my next stay in Monterey will be at The Monterey Bay In.

    Had ocean/harbor view room on 3rd floor - loved sleeping with the door open and hearing the seals/sea lions. Bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast in morning was good - great 'breakfast cake' although water for tea/coffe not very hot so used in room coffee maker for hot water. Nice bathroom but shower pressure very low - not sure if problem with shower or over excessive restrictor! Hotel staff were polite, helpful and coureous. Will definately go back.

Combining sleek, stylish décor and a coastal setting in John Steinbeck country, the inn is close to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Fisherman's Wharf, lively restaurants, eclectic shops and various recreational activities. Guests will stay seven miles from Carmel- by-the-Sea, six miles from Monterey Peninsula Airport, and 22 miles from Big Sur and the National Steinbeck Center.

Guests can start their mornings out with complimentary breakfasts in their rooms and then get help from the hotel's staff on tours, wine-tastings and day trips. Although the Monterey Bay Inn skips on having its own restaurant, guests can find plenty of dining options close to the hotel.

In addition to private balconies, the Monterey Bay's 47 guestrooms feature king-size beds, feather beds, CD players, coffeemakers and bathrobes.

From their room balconies, guests can use binoculars provided by the inn to spot otters and whales romping in the ocean. The Monterey Bay Inn is the kind of place where vacationers will leave with the sounds of the surf echoing in their minds and the scent of invigorating ocean air tickling their nostrils. Guestrooms include in-room safes. Wireless high-speed Internet access is available for a fee.
