Our stay was for four nights in mid October. At first glance the room was acceptable, like motel quality. We got a Superior Room. Most of the hotel services were acceptable, but cleanliness could be better. For example, when I came back to the room to get something, I noticed that the maid did not vacuum the floor. She only swept it with a brush for hair. Secondly, we noticed that there were small stains on the white blankets that were still there the following days. The water was also backed up in the sink and toilet after a few days, so much so that we had to call in someone to unclog them. The toilet was suctioned, but the sink was backed up because they found a metal spoon stuck down the pipe! We also had to ask for a hotel charging adapter plug even after we brought our own that should fit Hong Kong sockets. When I asked for another, the attendant told us the hotel only allowed us the one they gave us. I had more than one device I needed to charge, but could only do one at a time. This is a small issue for me but someone who is short on time may find it a problem. On a side note, the hairdryer is permanently located inside a dresser drawer and the only socket in the bathroom is for shavers. The service and restaurants are good at the Regal Oriental Hotel, Kowloon but don't look too closely if you are concerned with cleanliness.
