    I chose this hotel after reading favorable reviews on this website, which for a moderately priced hotel in Paris is no mean feat. Alas, I don't know where these other reviewers were coming from. This is a shabby hotel in a run down part of town. This was not the Paris that I had in mind. I did see lots of seemingly charming hotels around Paris, but this was sure not one of them. Of course any hotel that was built without bathrooms in the rooms and had them added later will be more cramped, but these rooms were made so small by the addition of bathrooms as to really be unusable as double rooms. As singles they would have been OK, but just. The whole place was run down and needed attention, but the bathrooms were the worst. There was rotting wood in the shower of our room. I would rather have just skipped Paris than to stay in this place again.
