    My wife and I took a two week vacation around the Northeastern states of Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusettes. Our stay at the Hawthorn Franklin was by far the most enjoyable stay of the trip. The interior of the hotel was very nice. We made use of the indoor pool and jacuzzi. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked with hot food from start to finish, even in the last hour of service fresh trays of food were coming out from the kitchen. The staff was friendly and the room was cleaned daily, and unobtrusively as this usually was done by the time we returned from breakfast. The highlight though was the room itself. At a more than reasonable price we stayed in a very spacious suite complete with kitchenette, dvd player, and jetted hot-tub. My wife and I had no complaints whatsoever with the Hawthorn and would gladly stay there again if ever traveling in the area.

    The hotel and staff were fine. There were two main issues: (1)The beds were not comfortable. It seemed like they were very old and sagged in the middle. (2) The complimentary breakfast was real poor quality, especially if you went there a bit later in the morning. Pancakes falling apart, potatoes tasted like cardboard, etc. Not worth the money that we paid.
