    No breakfast; no cookies in the lobby; no morning paper; no pay movies - what gives??? Homestead falls way short as compared to other hotels in the vicinity.

    When we opened the door to our hotel room it smelled like someone had been smoking in the non-smoking room and it was covered up with some air fresher product. On the morning of the third day of our stay I had to ask how often they clean the rooms. I was told that they clean the rooms only once a week because it's an extended stay hotel. This wasn't really a problem, but it would have been nice to know upfront when choosing a hotel. The kitchen floor had burn marks on it, which looked like they were made with a cigarette. The shower was nice and had plenty of water pressure. The carpet in the room needed cleaning badly. There was a trash can about 6 feet from the door to our hotel room, which seemed to be overflowing all the time and needed to be emptied much more often.
