    Older downtown hotel in rather shabby downtown area. Convenience to airport is good. Acceptable if you are there just for the night.

    We had to ask for soap and towels. Promised bottles of water didn't exist. Functions in the hotel went on to 1am, the noise vibrating the room, impossible to rest. Room was tiny, shower water lukewarm. Breakfast was greasy and limited. The only plus was the location, in the town center. Will not stay there again!

This modern hotel forms part of a busy Arndale Shopping Centre and is located about six miles from Luton International Airport. The 135 modern guestrooms at Best Western Menzies Strathmore are decorated with simple light wood furniture, neutral colored walls and aquamarine bedding. All the rooms are equipped with satellite television, pay movies and a minibar.

The hotel's Otium Leisure Club is there to help guests unwind after a busy day of work or play. Guests can choose between sweating it out in the sauna, reclining in the spa tub, pumping some iron in the gym and taking a refreshing plunge in the swimming pool. After working up an appetite, guests can opt to eat at La Brasserie.

The adjoining Arndale Centre provides ample shopping opportunities. Guests are advised to take a taxi for the short trip from the hotel to the airport.
