I want to begin by saying this hotel was very nice, very clean, and the room was great. However, if you plan to drive to the hotel and/or bring a pet please read below for the prices and some tips. pet fee - 8 Euro park on street - 2.40 Euro every 2 hours park in garage - 21 Euro per 24hr period Breakfast - 15 Euro per person Now a helpful anecdote and tips. Last weekend my wife, our dog, and I stayed at the Austria Trend Hotel. We arrived around eight o'clock in the evening after a full days work and a four hour drive from home, upon checking in I was told that it would be 8 Euro extra for the dog. The price seemed reasonable so I agreed to it. We then went up to our room, let me say again, it was very clean and roomy. After unloading the luggage I went back downstairs to inquire about parking. I was told there were two options, park in the garage (that's a 5 minute walk away and costs 21 Euro for 24hrs)or park on the street and place a slip in the windshield every two hours. Taking into account that it's winter I took a slip and told the girl at the desk I would think about the garage. What she neglected to tell me (and I didn't find out until showing the slip to my wife on our drive to go eat our first and only meal for the day)was that each slip costs 2.40 Euro. We then decided to go to the garage, rather than doing a rotation throughout the night to replace a slip we were having to pay for. I was then given horrible directions to the garage, resulting in me pulling in to the wrong one, and paying another 4 Euro to get out. Resulting in a total extra cost of 34.40 Euro, almost 40% of the original price of the room due to a dog and parking. So in order to save others from the head ache of being nickeled and dime to death, I would like to say; if you plan to drive to the hotel you may be better served by finding one that has free parking or at least a garage close by. Also, don't plan on merely parking on the street in order to do this in town you have to h

Location. Originally constructed in 1880 as the private residence of writer and pacifist Stefan Zweig, the Austria Trend Hotel Rathauspark stands behind an ornate iron gate two blocks from the Rathaus in Vienna, Austria. This property is located one kilometer from St. Stephen's Cathedral.

Hotel Features. An understated entrance leads to a marble, plant-filled lobby, where the original ceiling displays classical molded-plaster scenes. Breakfast (surcharge) is served each morning in a room where walls are adorned with folk art and cabinets are lined with Viennese artifacts. A small function room accommodates events. Dial-up Internet access is available. Business amenities include fax and photocopy services. Additional property amenities include currency exchange.

Guestrooms. The hotel offers 117 modern guestrooms equipped with cable television. In-room safes are provided. Rooms include minibars. Rooms are carpeted and feature cream-colored wallpaper, pale-wood desks and upholstered wooden-armed chairs. Gray-and-white tiled bathrooms contain bathtubs and adjustable-height showers. Four floors prohibit smoking.

Expert Tip. The bar at this hotel is considered a local institution, where the resident bartender has held his post for many years. As such, this establishment is a popular local haunt where tourists may learn nearly as much about past and present life in Vienna as they would attending a local seminar.
