Dinah's Garden Hotel & Trader Vic's

I checked into the hotel. I walked up to the front desk and through the entire check in process the man checking me in never smiled or said more than 3 words the entire time. The whole staff looked angry and irritated. I had reserved a room with a king bed. When I arrived at my room it was a queen size bed and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. I called the front desk and told them about this. I said I would like to get the room I reserved with a king bed and also that the room smelled like cigarette smoke. The front desk person's only response to the cigarette smoke is that they previous guest was probably charged for that... I said that I was glad they were charged but what were they going to do about the stinky room and everyone who checked in after that person. I asked to have my room switched. She said she would change it. I asked if they could meet me at the new room with a key so I didn't have to come back up to the front desk as it was 9:30pm. She told me the room number and I went over to the second room. I waited quite a while and the front desk person showed up irritated at me because I had gone to the new room rather than wait at the old room. She said, "When we switch rooms we expect the person to stay at the old room and we would bring the key there" I said that I had no way of knowing that and she had told me the new room number and I said I would meet them at the new room. She just handed me the key and walked away. I was appalled by the poor customer service. I ordered room service and 1 hour later got a call that they had lost my ticket and they would get the food done right away. 30 minutes later it showed up. It was way yummy so worth the wait, but still disappointing.
