    The staff was nice and tried to be helpful but the property as a whole and the room in particular were in rough shape. Many things broken including TV and refrigerator and the room really wasn't clean. Inexpensive and convenient but it really needs some TLC.

    I read the reviews on this and other hotels in the Chicago area. I chose this one because of the price, the free parking and the absence of many comments saying this hotel was dirty. I got just what the reviews had lead me to belive. Clean, comfortable room with some problems. All was well and I thought we had gotten a room that was the exception to the rule until we tried to turn on the air-no fan. We could open the windows, but then the traffic noises were loud. The front desk didn't have a fan and the service man who came had a pretty fatalistic view-it's old and broken, you were right. So check the air/heating unit in your room before you accept it!
