Things didnt get off to a good start. When trying to check in we couldnt get into the hotel to do it. I had to call Hotel.com and notify them, I thought the hotel had closed down (judging by the outside condition). We finally get into the hotel to check in early. The woman at the front desk advises me that there is a cocktail lounge open from 4pm to 11pm and a lunch bistro that is a buffet style. Im excited about those because that just makes life easier, and we needed it at the time. So, night one. 5:30 PM we try to go to the lounge. When walking to the lounge, you pass the hotel desk BTW. So we get to the door of the lounge, and its locked and closed. So we ask the girl at the front desk, who saw us walk to that area. She states that there is a halloween party that the bartender is tending at the convention center. Fine. No big deal. Night TWO. My wife goes to get some coffee and breakfast from the continental breakfast. Came back with just coffee. All they had to off at the continental breakfast was breads and cereal. No fruit, hard boiled eggs etcetra. LUNCH. The buffet got filled ONE time for about 12 people there eating. Needless to say, for the $5.99 price tag, we got the equivalent of a KFC fast food meal. Then the evening rols around and the lounge wasnt open again because the bartender was at an auction....??!! It was an endless nightmare. Not to mention the RIDICULOUS 72 hour cancellation notice you are required to abide by. Never again will we stay with this hotel.
