    This hotel is a unique property. We enjoyed looking at the photos of the history of the hotel which are displayed throughout the lobby and main hallways. A bellman noticed our interest and took the time to explain how the hotel has been renovated over the years. We had excellent service at the restaraunts. We had paid for a "classic" room, it was clean, the bathroom was sparkling. At our low rate, we did not receive a room with a view, but that was fine, we did not spend much time there. We would stay there again if our travels take us back to Berkeley.

Access to fitness facilities is included in a daily resort fee. Other amenities include a fine-dining restaurant, a cafe/bar with views of San Francisco Bay, a lobby computer station with complimentary high-speed Internet access, valet parking, and 30,000 square feet of event space. The Spa Claremont includes a beauty salon and full menu of massage, hydrotherapy, body wraps, and skin care treatments. The business center provides a technical help desk, high-speed Internet access, and other business services. Guestrooms feature high-speed Internet access and complimentary local calls within a 16-mile radius. Plush bathrobes are provided.
