    The staff at the hotel were wonderful. We arrived early, they took our bags and put them in the room when it was ready. Staff at breakfast were great as well. I have no complaints at all about this hotel. The location of the hotel was ideal as it was right near all the major trains and buses and was a good spot to stay if visiting the city as a tourist.

The Hotel Berlin is a modern seven story hotel situated in the south-east of Hamburg, 150 metres from Berliner Tor S-Bahn station and three kilometres from the old town. The 93 soundproofed guestrooms feature modern décor with light wood furnishings; all include cable television with pay movies, telephones, air conditioning, and minibars.

Guests can plan a day's sightseeing using the complimentary wireless Internet services in the lobby. Tour assistance is available, with multilingual staff on hand to recommend attractions or book restaurants and theatre tickets. Guests can also browse the complimentary newspapers by the fireplace in the hotel lobby, while those arriving by car benefit from free parking in the hotel garage. The hotel is well located for visiting a number of attractions; Hamburg's Fine Art Museum and the Aussenalster Lake are within two kilometres of the hotel. Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel Airport is 15 kilometres from the hotel. Taxi services to the hotel take approximately 30 minutes and cost around 20 Euros. The Airport Express runs bus services to the nearby Ohlsdorf U-Bahn/S-Bahn station every ten minutes and to Hamburg central station every 20 minutes from Terminals 1 and 4. From S-Bahn station Ohlsdorf, take S1 to the Berliner Tor stop, and take the Berliner Tordamm exit at the station. The hotel is 150 metres away on the right.
