    We were very disappointed with our stay at the La Quinta Inn. While the staff was courteous and the hotel was clean, the smell was atrocious in our hallway and our room. As soon as we stepped off the elevator on our floor, we were hit with the strong odor of stale cigarette smoke even though the floor was labeled non-smoking and we had requested a non-smoking room. When we walked into our room, the smell was not as bad initially but was definitely there. We turned on the air conditioner because it was hot and the room began to smell horribly of smoke. The sheets on the bed and the towels in the bathroom all smelled as well. When we left the hotel the next day, our suitcases and the clothes in them all wreaked of cigarette smoke. For the price we paid, that was very disappointing. I would never stay in that hotel again.

    I think the 2 stars can only refer to the price. I would say the quality is very good. We really found the hotel to be great. The room, continental breakfast, service, cleanliness all were good. We were especially surprised at the great pool. We were very comfortable and will stay here many time in the future. There is lots of shopping, dining, etc. within walking distance.
