    Surprising this was considered the best of the hotels in Lafayette until I looked around. Clearly the best one, relatively speaking. Might be worth checking out Baton Rouge.

    This hotel more than met my expectations. It is newly renovated and very clean. The staff was very friendly. I was able to check in early. One of the front desk members even helped me with my bags to my room. When I arrived the restaurant was closing and instead of turning me away the restaurant manager made me a plate of food from the buffet to take to my room free of charge. You don't find that kind of personal service anymore.
