    When I sent into my room the bedspread was stained. When I looked out of my window I was on the first floor and there was a large Rider truck blocking my view which according to management could not be moved. Surrounding the big white truck was the parking lot which was noisy. the food was awful. I felt like I was staying in a cheap rundown hotel. What was so interestingwas when you were put on hold while calling the front desk, you listened to a recording telling you of the millions of dollars spend on refubishing the hotel. They seem to think it was hotel.com that should have told be I was spending almost the same amount of $$$ for the bad location as the lake view rooms.

Location. The Lake Arrowhead Resort is perched high in the San Bernardino Mountains, amid a thick pine forest in Lake Arrowhead, Calif. This hotel was recently transformed after completing a $20 million renovation project. Lake Arrowhead Village is one block away and offers numerous boutiques, restaurants and entertainment opportunities. Heap's Peak Arboretum is four miles away and California State University is within 25 miles of the property.

Hotel Features. With the look of a traditional mountain lodge, this California property boasts stone chimneys, A-frame architecture and interior wood accents. Bin 189 offers an extensive wine list and serves breakfasts, lunches and dinners daily. Breakfast goods, pastries and gourmet coffee blends are featured at Mountain Aromas, the property's retail shop. Conference rooms, a business center and complimentary wireless Internet access are provided. An adults-only spa hosts fitness studios with cardiovascular- and strength-training equipment, yoga and Pilates classes and seven treatment rooms. For recreation, an outdoor pool, two outdoor spa tubs, a private beach and a fishing dock are available.

Guestrooms. Many of the resort's 173 guestrooms host open-air balconies. Bedding features pillowtop mattresses and Anichini linens. Rooms include 32-inch flat panel televisions, premium channels, dial-up Internet access and coffeemakers.
