Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 322Good Value - Poor Casino Experience
The rooms were nice enough, definitely a good value midweek. Comfortable beds. The view of the casino roof top was not too appealing. The casino needs to have some updating or renovations.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 322Terrible place and hidden fees
The service was terrible. They charged a fee equal to the room one for hotel services like the pool, which cannot be used since it is not heated and I stayed in November, hotel transportation (not used since, like most, I drove my car), internet (which I wanted to use but it didn't cover all the hotel grounds and was only able to connect on the 3rd day, my last). The buffet was mediocre at best, but it is included in the room fee. Overall, this was the 2nd worst hotel I stayed in in my life.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 322Don't Do It!!! Horrible!!!!
Picked this plae for the price. First mistake. You get what you pay for. After you walk thru the "courtyard" which is an alley and you open the main door to the dump you're staying in, the odor is enough to kill someone. NASTY!! You then climb the stairs to get to your room. The doors look like the rooms have been broken into a time or two or three and the room smells just as bad if not worse because now you have the pleasant smell of moisture in the air. Wonderful right! Don't drive to far away from hotel or freeway because you'll be in the hood and need to be locking doors. Needless to say, we left. Checked out and stayed somewhere else. This was the worst experience of my life. Good luck if you stay here!!!!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 322Needs a lot of improvement
Our room was surface clean but we found trash behind the nightstand and bugs in the bathroom. The buffet left a lot to be desired as well. If you are going to charge double what you use to, there should be better options. I use to love the hotel and buffet but not this time. You really do get what you pay for. I am also very unhappy about the additional $40 hotel fees/taxes upon check out. You think you are getting a great rate from hotels.com but then the hotel adds fees on top of it. I would have been better to spend the extra money and stay in a better hotel.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 322Beware of the extortion
This facility imposes a mandatory $14.99 per day plus tax for some useless benefits which other hotels offer for free. I was refused check-in when I refused to pay the fee, and essentially was coerced into paying this fee. I have stayed at many hotels, and never had this problem before. This run-down place ended up costing me more in the end.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 322deceiptive fee
When you book this hotel, you thought that you have paid everything like other hotels. But no, this hotel will tell you that they have to charge you additional $17/day, and it's mandatory not optional. You end up pay a high price for a poor hotel.

Palace Station has a daily resort fee, which was more than the daily rate I paid for my room at the Hotel.com. Essentially I was charged double the price shown on this site.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 322Mixed feelings
The hotel was well-priced (for a tower room) and we were safe, but it wasn't great. The beds were way too soft and we rolled a lot when moving in bed. Also, we came back to the hotel after being gone all day and only one bed had been made up by the maid, and the bathroom was still pretty messy. On our first morning, we called room service for a few more towels and they never showed up. All in all, not a great hotel stay.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 322Palace station hotel
Older hotel. No elevators & hidden convenience fees makes this hotel not worth the lower price they advertise. There are nicer hotels that are not far from their price range without the hidden convenience fees plus you don't have to climb the stairs with your luggage.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 322$16 a day resort fees? Too much!
Seems like every time I stay at Palace the fees are higher than the time before. A tip - if you are going to stay at Palace book yourself a tower room, the tower is easily a full star better than the courtyard. Really like night and day.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 322Surprise Cost
Everything was fine about the stay. However, I did find a water bottle in my room left from the previous occupant. The problem was at check out when I was hit with an extra fee that essentially doubled the cost of the room which was for services I didn't require; shuttle service, etc. In fairness to the hotel, I was told something at check in, but couldn't quite hear what was said. I did the old nod and smile, as it seemed to be one of those "this is stupid, but I'm required to tell you's" spoken in a monotone voice. I will not stay there again, nor would I recommend the hotel due to this hidden, extra fee.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 12 of 322Read the fine print
When I reserved my room, I thought that I was getting a good price. But, there was the fine print that I did not see, and when I registered I had to agree to. Not only did I have to agree to it, but I had initial the extra $16/night service fee. This service fee was in additional to the already agreed to price that I believe I was paying for. I believe that this is very underhanded. To pay a service fee for the use of the weight room and pool, whether or not you use them or not. I will not recommend any of my many friends that go to Vegas to stay at this hotel, just on the principle. By hiding the fee in the fine print they put me in a position in which I had no choice but pay, unless I wanted to run around Vegas looking for another hotel room. To add insult to injury I was given a room in a building that was the annex to the hotel. When I opened the curtains in my room all I saw was a wall. I went back to reservations and asked for my room to be switched.

When checking in they have you initial that if you use the extra services you will be charged however you are really charged for these if you use them or don't use them.

Although the room was clean, you need bread crumbs to find your way back once you leave it. It is a very old motel, added onto, with no elevator to the second floor. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 322Dirty - doesnt matter how cheap
I have stayed several times at the Palace Station. It is normally a decent place for the price. However, this time it was not clean and there is no second chance for a disgusting room. On top of that, housekeeping forgot to leave the remote for the TV. Disappointing - never again.
