Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 25You get what you pay for....
For the price of the hotel it was fine, but I was basically unimpressed. I knew I hadn't bought the package with the *amenities*...(why should I when I only wanted one out of 3), but was very surprised that I was unable to buy the breakfast that they were providing. Then I asked that my room not be entered by housekeeping, but found they had come anyway, and my last morning had housekeeping wake me up when it was the day I was checking out...I've never had that happen. While there was nothing wrong with the Q, there are plenty of reasonable places to stay and I won't go back.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 25"Expensive for poor customer service"
I was one of many guests who booked a room as a wedding guest. Luckily I was not one of the many that got sent to a different hotel because of overbooking, but I almost wish I had! The customer service was poor, the shuttle to the reception was late, and the hospitality room that was booked for the wedding guests after the reception did not get passed along to management so they called the police on us!! And after that, the GM of the hotel would not fix the situation and send the police away so everyone was forced back to their rooms. Very poor communication between management and staff. Not worth all the hassel and money. Will not stay again.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 25It's dirty
The carpet is very old. The bathroom is so small and dirty. Feel like an apartment you rented in college when you didn't have money.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 25Thought it was a bad dream!
Our recent visit to KC was all but shattered upon check in to this hotel. We checked in around 4pm only to hear that the shuttle service was booked for all night wedding parties. They would make one stop near the Sprint center that night for a concert we were going to at 5pm, the show was at 8. We went up to our room to find a full size bed, not a queen and the balcony had trash and cigarette butts all over it. The room had one mirror which made it tedious to get ready, a bath fan that fell out of the wall when you turned it on, paint bubbling up on the walls from the humidity in the building and worn/nicked up furniture. The iron in the room was leaking and I went to get a new one from the front desk but no apology given. We were unable to move to another room as they were full that night. The area at night is popping, and is full of cops right and left. The police chopper flew overhead the hotel about 10 min that night circling around the street about a block down. The only good thing was the breakfast the next morning that included scrambled eggs, bagels, toast, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice and milk.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 25Decent hotel, but has problems
The hotel website and photos on here make the hotel seem better than it really is. The location is terrible in that its in a very confusing, clustered area (smack in the middle of westport). But if you want a place to stay within walking distance this is a good choice. Traffic around the hotel was awful, and with so many one way streets around the area its easy to get lost. There were also many drunk people walking around out front of the hotel as well as some loud drunk guests. The room was smallish, but clean and ok. The only problem with the room we had was the toilet barely worked (10 flushes for a tissue). We told the front desk and they assured us they would fix it when we left for lunch. Came back and it was still broken. That was definately an annoyance.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 25May be a work in progress, but...
Our rate turned out to be a "room-only" online promotion; amenities package, which we didn't sign up for (cocktails, breakfast and use of a shuttle service with limited radius) was extra. I asked about upgrading to a king from a queen; that would have been more than twice our rate so we stuck with the queen. The room was small and somewhat shabby, including several broken drawers. The toilet didn't always shut off, an otherwise minor issue that nonetheless stood out because this is billed as a "green" hotel that makes much of saving "precious resources." To be fair, I don't think the hotel has been in existence in its present form for long, and possibly more remodeling is planned. The location and price could be a draw for budget business travelers; however, I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless your plans make staying in the Westport area a prime consideration.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 25Not a great value
Rooms are small. Reservation was for queen bed and they put us in a double bed and it was not easy to straighten out the problem. Seems expensive. In the heart of the Westport bar district. No pool. The Spa was closed when we wanted to use it.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 25Ok, but won't stay there again
Nicely updated older hotel. Hotels.com said that we would have a queen size bed, but when we got our room it was a full. The staff quickly upgraded us, no charge. The walls are very thin and you could hear all of what was going on next door - ugh. Supposed to be in good part of town, but there were 7 people shot on the corner down from the hotel!!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 25Not Great for the Money
Just spent one night in this hotel and found the rooms extremely small for the price. While the furnishings were nice, the bed comfortable, and the people at the desk wonderful, the walls of the rooms were extemely thin and we could hear the people next door as if they were in our room. It's like they took one good sized room and and put a wall right down the middle. Probably would not stay here again just because it was overpriced.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 25Huge Disappointment
Did supply Aveda Bath products and oversized bath towels as pomised. Breakfast was disappointing and staff was rude (except for front desk personel)Bed made my back soar and pillows were rock hard. Would not recommend staying here.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 25Front Desk Problem
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel until we went to leave. The hotel room was great and the beds were perfect for sleeping. The night before we left I ordered a taxi to drive us to Union Station. Early in the morning I was informed there was no taxi, but a limo had been ordered. Since, we had to get to the station quickly I had to pay $20 for a seven minute instead of $6. This is not the way to treat a quest.
